This approach begins with individual face-to-face coaching sessions directly with Dr. Joseph Riggio. Coaching can be scheduled either over a number of shorter sessions (three+ sessions typically lasting 45 - 90 minutes each) or in a more intensive, longer single-session (one to four concentrated sessions typically, 2-1/2 - 4 hours each over 1 or 2 days).
Many of my clients prefer this form of coaching because they prefer the "live" aspect of it. This refers to the face-to-face interaction that occurs in the "Live Coaching" approach I take with clients.
What makes this coaching approach so potent has to do with the ability to use the full spectrum of communication in the interaction between the coach and the client. Instead of relying exclusively on what's spoken (even with the inclusion of calibrating and tracking "tonality") the coach can access all of the non-verbal signals the client offers.
The specific approach I take includes utilizing the somatic information of the interaction as well as the spoken information. As simply put as I can this means attending to what you do as well as to what you say. Every time you speak you are a certain way. You hold yourself in a particular way, you gesture in a particular way, you make particular facial expressions - all of this is somatic information.
Again, as simply put as I can, what you do somatically depends on how you relax and contract various muscles all over your body. You express this as movement, mostly micro-movements that require special training and skill to notice and to track. Taken all together these movements and micro-movement generate a pattern that forms the foundation for your performance.
The "pattern of performance" that you express remains unique to you alone. This pattern of performance forms the "ground" of your perceptions, your thinking and most significantly your decision-making process and behaviors as well. In this form of coaching I will be tracking the somatics of your pattern of performance and share this with you - you'll come to know yourself through this process better than you have ever known yourself before. What you'll begin to become aware of will include, how you are when you are at your best, when things are going your way ... effortlessly ... and most importantly how to access and sustain this way of being on demand regardless of the context or situation.
You'll learn how to improve your performance in a wide variety of situations -
in your personal relationships ... in your business/career ... on your own ... and, with others
Before we're done working together what had limited you in the past will simply no longer be present. This is very different from learning "strategies, techniques of tools" for dealing with what had limited you ... this is all about you accessing a position beyond limitations.
Everything about private coaching with me revolves around pointing out to you how you are at your best, when you are operating most from your center, when (as I put it) "the system has come to rest." You'll learn how to begin recognizing what "fits and matches" uniquely for you. This will become the basis of how you go forward making decisions, being from asking yourself, "Is this a 'fit and match' for me?"
Essentially what you'll get from private coaching will be a remarkable awareness of yourself, and how what you do creates the contexts, situations, interactions, outcomes and results you experience - personalized precisely and specifically just for you. More importantly you'll learn what you can do to create the contexts, situations, interactions, outcomes and results that you want - AND WHAT SPECIFICALLY TO BE DOING TO BEGIN EXPERIENCING WHAT YOU WANT TO BE EXPERIENCING IN AN ONGOING WAY.
