And, while we really mean that “Transformation” and “Mastery” are different things at a very deep and profound level, most people neither need “Mastery” to move on in their life, nor actually want to do what it takes to get it for themselves.

  • Communication Mastery – this is where it all comes together. As in the foundational models that the MythoSelf Process rests upon, NLP/neurolinguistic programming and the Generative Imprint model, developing mastery in applied communication has always been a significant aspect of MythoSelf training. When it comes to how we think about and approach communication mastery in the MythoSelf Process model training we look at four aspects at all times at least – – verbal, non-verbal, somatic and contextual.While many approaches to applied communication address both verbal and non-verbal communication techniques, we go much further in the MythoSelf Process training by raising both somatic and contextual communication training to an equal or better level of skill. Let’s start with the most basic presumption we begin from here at ABTI | Joseph Riggio International …

You want to make the changes you desire in as little time and with as little effort as possible, without any unnecessary fluff or frills, and most of all you want a practical approach that will show up in your life in terms of the results and outcomes you create and achieve, and not just to experience some imaginal moments of relief from whatever is going on for you.

If this doesn’t describe what you’re looking for we may be very limited in providing you with what you need and want. But if it is a good basic description, then you’re probably in a good place to find out more about what we do, and then to decide if scheduling a complimentary call to discuss your specific situation makes good sense for us both.

Whether you are moving through transition, growth or crisis making the change you need can be more simple than you might imagine with the right guidance and help. Since 1990 ABTI | Joseph Riggio International has worked with individuals who are looking to make significant changes in their lives.

In the field of transformational performance we are known by our peers and colleagues as master change artists. The founder of ABTI | Joseph Riggio International and the models we use, Joseph Riggio, is sometimes referred to as a magician when it comes to helping people who are ready to move forward in their lives, get unstuck and experience a breakthrough in their personal performance, and the results and outcomes they begin creating and achieving after spending even just a little time with and around him.

While we do is both unique and a bit unusual, it’s based in decades of experience and proven results with thousands of clients. The fundamental model we’ll be using together is called the MythoSelf Process, and it’s based in a few things that are different from what you might be familiar with when it comes to making significant changes in your life. The very first thing is the saying that defines the essence of our approach …

“We go to where the problem is not.”

Joseph originally heard this phrase from his teacher and mentor, Roye Fraser, developer of the Generative Imprint™ model. Roye taught Joseph how to elicit a highly charged positive state that is imbued with possibility he referred to as the “Excitatory Bias.” This state, the Excitatory Bias, is actually a neurological state associated with the parasympathetic in the autonomic nervous system when you are calm, confident and collected, and open to perceiving and integrating new information.

Working from the Excitatory Bias, and learning to access the parasympathetic position in the autonomic nervous system, is distinctly different from the sympathetic position when you are operating in relation to danger, threat and fear, and closed down to any new information, seeking only to escape from the situation you perceive and to which you are  responding. This alternative state is called the Inhibitory Bias by neuroscientists and in the MythoSelf Process model as well.

By accessing the Excitatory Bias … you will experience an immediate sense of relief and a pervasive sense of wellbeing. From this position you can then begin to consider multiple possibilities, become open to the choices available to you, and make high-quality decisions to take action and begin creating the results and outcomes you desire. Just this alone makes the approach we use unique and different from most therapy and coaching available anywhere else.

Nowadays a lot of folks have moved on from therapy to coaching to accomplish making the change the need and want in their life, but our approach is neither therapy nor coaching as they are typically understood. We like to call what we do consulting and mentoring, because we will provide you with the information you need to make the changes you desire and then stay with you long enough to stabilize those changes in your life.

Of course the effect of what we’ll do together may have therapeutic aspects, and some of what we’ll be doing will resemble coaching too, but our approach is uniquely different. Joseph began developing his MythoSelf Process model of doing significant change work with people in the early 1990s based on a number of methodologies he’d studied and researched, including NLP, hypnosis, brief and strategic therapy, narrative therapy and many philosophical and spiritual approaches to making significant change as well.

While the MythoSelf Process model always integrated the body-mind, treating it as a singularity, in the process of developing the MythoSelf Process model Joseph noticed two things that stood out for him. When people make lasting changes, in addition to a shift in their thinking and behavior, they almost always have a shift that’s somatic as well, a change in their “felt sense” of themselves. This led Joseph into researching the fields of somatics and embodiment, and how they both related to helping people make changes in their lives, and also the neuroscience behind it. Over the next twenty years Joseph refined his thinking and the application of the MythoSelf Process to include what he’d discovered in the neuroscience focusing on non-representational thought and cognition centered in cerebellar processing.
